As the Software Engineer, you will report to the Director of Information Technology. The Software Engineer activities include; designing and developing new applications and services, enhancing existing applications, and maintenance such as bug fixes and troubleshooting. Producing clear and comprehensive documentation of designs, functions, system flows, diagnostics, interfaces, etc. is another regular activity. as well as being passionate about their contribution to the organization. This position call for direct feedback and consultation with development engineers on problem resolution <strong>Required Skills:</strong> <ul> <li>Design, code, and test applications create test scripts, design and create automation scripts.</li> <li>Monitor and improve application performance.</li> <li>Collaborate with vendors, business units, offshore technicians, and internal technical staff to resolve problems and implement software releases.</li> <li>Prepare and maintain detailed specifications. Review and contribute to project documentation.Analyze existing code and applications, design new solutions, and/or integrate purchased solutions.</li> <li>Follow standard software development lifecycle (SDLC) process. Contribute to process improvements.</li> <li>Serve as consultant to management regarding architecture and design of new systems, new applications, and enhancements to existing applications. Serve as department spokesperson in matters of new technology evaluations and recommendations.</li> <li>Evaluate software and system problems, recommend and develop plans for improvements.</li> <li>Provide conceptual guidance to other senior and high-level technical team experts.</li> </ul> <strong>Technical Experience:</strong> <ul> <li>Experience in: HTML5</li> <li>Experience in: CSS3</li> <li>Experience in: JavaScript/jQuery/JSON</li> <li>Experience in: PHP5</li> <li>Experience in: SQL(MySQL)</li> <li>Desired: Scala</li> </ul> <strong>Education and Qualifications:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent experience (8) years minimum related . <strong>Communication:</strong> Communicates effectively to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions.Continually seeks opportunities to increase organizations satisfaction and deepen relationships.Builds a knowledge base of systems and objectives.Facilitates team meetings effectively, understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
